The Nordstrom Anniversary Sale

It’s that time of year when we all have the chance to stock up for our fall closets at significant discounts at the Nordstrom Anniversary Sale. Your Nordstrom card is your ticket to savings! A Norstrom card let you access this sale 1-week earlier before it goes public. One of the many benefits of having a Nordstrom credit card! Apply here if you haven’t yet. You will also earn points for every purchase you make, which believe me, add up! You can convert to cash or redeem them on your next purchase.

This sale is known for its good clothing and beauty items to sell out very quickly. So if you see what you want in your size and the color you want, I highly suggest you purchase it right away, or it might not be available an hour later, seriously! That said they will restock items occasionally, so check back if you see a sold-out sign.

The size of this sale is quite impressive. Below I have gathered just a very curated edit of what I’m buying. Mostly just everyday, elevated pieces I can easily mix and match. When you shop like this, your options are endless, and you won’t need to buy as much. You are creating a capsule wardrobe.

Capsule Wardrobe

Developing a capsule wardrobe is all the trend today. However, it does not have to break the bank. The Nordstrom Anniversary Sale is the perfect time to save big on the stylish pieces that are easily mixed and matched into multiple outfits.

Below I have restyled several pieces for you in different looks. This post is your capsule wardrobe edit of the fabulous sale.

Dress size S

This dress is so versatile, and I love the shorter length. In the fall you can layer a sweater over it and pair with your OTKnee boots or booties. You will definitely see me in this dress again with a red sweatshirt over it and white sneakers!

Cardi 4 colors Size S // Jeans // Blouse // Crossbody bag

This Cardigan is from Topshop. It is the star cardigan of the #nsale every year with a different style but always the softest knit against the skin! The light colors sell out quickly. I picked up this gray and oatmeal.

Wearing mostly solids can get a little boring. However, when you add print in your accessories, everything changes! Love this crossbody bag for doing that.

Sweater // Jeans

These jeans are from last year, and they brought them back to the sale this year. I love the fit and details, and at $44.00, they are a no-brainer. My button-up sweater is so soft! It can also be worn unbuttoned over a t-shirt or buttoned up over a dress.

Sweater // Denim Skirt // Heels // Sunnies // Purse

So much love for the camel sweater! Again very soft, affordable, and versatile. My neutral heels are all elastic and very comfortable for a higher heel! A denim skirt with cute details is a basic piece to have for sure. (Size down one size)

This cozy jogger set can be easily styled in so many ways! It is perfect for travel and every day. (Size up one size)

Leopard Trench // Purse

This statement-making leopard trench is the hero piece of this capsule wardrobe. Toss it over any neutral outfit to give it a WOW factor! My croc-embossed tote bag literally will go with any outfit. It has plenty of organization pockets and separators inside and is real leather. I love the on-trend shorter shoulder strap.

Dress // Heels

The last I looked at the site, this leopard dress was sold out. Actually, all leopard dresses were sold out 🙁 They hopefully will restock when the sale goes public on the 19th though. Be ready if you love it, it will go quick again. This dress is amazing and under $35.00.  I can’t wait to layer Cardigans, knotted button-up shirts, and t-shirts over it. Also, turtleneck bodysuit would be so cute layered under it.

Leopard Trench // Blouse // Jeans // OTKnee boots // Purse

This outfit is chic and ready for your everyday. These boots are very comfortable and have a skinny cut to the top, so they look much more expensive than they are. (under $100)  Suede in the front and elastic in the back ensures they will stay up.

Let’s talk elevated basics now. The black blouse above and white blouse below are perfect examples. This fabric has a bit of a crinkle texture that adds interest and is synthetic so they will stay crisp white and last longer. They are also longer so you can untuck and wear over leggings.

These leggings are all the rage and on sale so definitely grab some. I have them and love them!

All the same above, pieces just put together differently. On warmer days, ditch the OTKnee boots for sneakers and switch out the cardi for a knotted white tee or wear the cute blouse alone.

A lighter cardigan that is not as bulky for layering over outfits will go along way! The crossbody is giving interest, and the blouse is AMAZING. Again, switch out the OTKnee boots for sandals for sneakers on warmer days.

Animal Print Blouse // Suede Skirt // Heels // Purse

I reach for mini-skirts over shorts. This neutral suede skirt can be styled so many ways! With sneakers and a knotted t-shirt,  boots and a sweater, endless possibilities.  The zippers give it a little edge. I also love this animal print blouse with the wide arm openings!

The same pieces just mixed into a different outfit.

This round croc-embossed bag adds a little solid jade green color to this busy print.
