It is officially fall now, and one of my favorite things to shop for is outerwear! Coats can complete your fall outfit, and finding the right one just got easier with these three coat trends. Scroll down to see which one is your favorite!

Look 1: Oversized Blazer

The oversized blazer is a modern and fresh take on the timeless blazer! It can be styled with a black top and loose jeans, as I did above, or over a dress for a more sophisticated look. You can also throw your blazer over a minimal outfit and spice it up with a fun handbag. Houndstooth is a trending fabric this fall and looks so chic on a handbag! Look 2: Tweed Jacket

Some may think of tweed as old-fashioned, but it is a timeless wardrobe piece that will fit right into any woman’s wardrobe. It looks great styled with slacks for the office or jeans and a tee for a more relaxed setting. Cropped tweed jackets are perfect if you want to accentuate your waist or grab a longer one to go over a classic black dress.

Look 3: Knit Blazer

Last but not least, the classic knit blazer. This coat is one that everyone should have in their closet. It can be dressed up or down and looks flawless either way. I find myself pairing the knit blazer with neutrals as I did above, but grabbing a blazer with a pop of color is the perfect way to elevate an outfit.

The cool air is here, and I am loving it! With fall comes the best fall fashion, and there is just something about cozy athleisurewear. Whether chasing kids around or just wanting to stay cozy, athleisurewear is a great way to feel put together. It is the perfect way to mix style with function.

Shop The Look:

Add some accessories to make your athleisure outfit appear less like you just got done working out and more like an actual street-chic outfit. I love the quilted tote bag trend or the staple belt bag, but you can even add some jewelry as well. I prefer simple gold jewelry with my casual outfits.

Make leggings more streetwear appropriate by pairing them with longer tops or tying a shirt around your waist.

Skip those running shoes and instead choose a casual sneakers. Neutral sneakers are my personal favorite, and I love that retro sneakers are making a reappearance in this year’s fall trends. New Balance, Nike, and Veja are my go-to brands for amazing neutral sneakers.

For a sporty chic look, try a trendy matching set. It makes any outfit instantly elevated. Throw on a puffer vest to add some extra warmth for the chillier days.

A quick athleisurewear style tip: When pairing a top and a bottom, you want to balance the outfit by combining a loose-fitting top with tight bottoms or vice versa. For instance, I would style my tight black leggings with an oversized crewneck. Another example is pairing joggers with a more form-fitting tank or t-shirt.

I cannot believe September is over and fall is here! Fall is one of the best seasons for fashion, and I could not be more excited! Onto October with the fun fall layers! Below are the best sellers of the month. There is a bit of everything from Amazon sweaters to perfect ballet slippers I love! Unsurprisingly, two of the best-sellers are the striped sweater and ballet flats. Two items that have so many different style combinations and are trending for this fall season! A faux leather jacket is perfect to have on hand when the days get chillier. The cami above is great to throw under a jacket or wear under a sweater when the days get chilly! The Evereve faux leather cropped pants are one of my go-to fall transitional pieces. I styled it above with an affordable Amazon sweater and a stunning white YSL bag.

The tan loafers are a beautiful fall color and go with almost every outfit. One of the best-selling outfits for this month went viral on Instagram! Everyone loved the Spanx Wide Leg Pants. They are comfy and pair well with blouses and sweaters, making them perfect for the workplace.

Fall Stripes

We all know and love the top that you can never go wrong with, and that is a striped top. It can be worn all wear round and looks great with almost anything. Stripes should be a staple in every women’s closet, but if you are feeling uninspired by this fall trend and feel like you have seen one stripe too many lately, I have some style tips to help you freshen up your stripes this season!

How To Style

Pair fall stripes with neutral solid colors. I like pairing my black striped top with solid black shorts or pants.
Pair with any kind of denim. Denim skirts, jeans, shorts, etc. You can’t go wrong here.
Throw under a solid-colored vest. Looks chic and adds an extra layer of warmth for chillier days.
Have a striped cardigan? Pair it with leggings and a solid tee and you’ve got a comfy and tasteful look.
Layer your stripes with another coat or jacket. Stripes add dimension and are a great way to freshen up a look.
Mix and match stripes with another print to elevate your outfit. Choose one print to dominate and the other to accent.

Faux Leather

Faux leather is trending for fall 2020. Gone are the days when faux leather looked cheap and felt uncomfortable. I prefer faux leather in some pieces over the real thing. It is more pliable, not as delicate, and can be cooler in the warm Fall days of the south.

How To Style:

Wear your skirt with a crisp white tee as I have here. The contract between black and white is always a favorite of mine. Snakeskin boots will pop against the neutral tones. Adding a structured bag will elevate the whole look. If you want a more casual feel change the back out for something with fringe or softer structure.
Fall is all about OTK boots, and mini skirts are a perfect time to wear some. Adding texture to the smooth skirt by paired a chunky sweater with a little front tuck will look amazing. A leopard print bag will finish off the look.
For a casual day outfit, add a graphic tee. Half tuck it in or tuck the bottom up and under your bra for a cropped look. I love this trick because you control how cropped it is. Add a stylish sneaker of your choice.
Dress it up with a silk button-up, tucked in, and heels. A blazer thrown over your shoulders with a fun brooch would be so gorgeous.

These are just some of the many ways to style a faux leather skirt. I do not see this trend going anywhere but getting bigger in the future, so grab your faux leather today, girls!
