2023 Fall Fashion Trends

We’ve seen it all when it comes to fall fashion trends over the years. If I’ve learned anything being in the fashion business, it’s that trends come and go, and they almost always make a comeback. If you’ve been waiting to see what 2023 fall fashion trends you should watch, this post is full of great fashion predictions for the coming months.

Fall Fashion Trend #1: Red

I typically reserve bright red colors for the holiday season, but I am so excited to see it come in style earlier this year! From crimson tops and jackets to fiery red-colored handbags and shoes, you’re going to want to pull out your red pieces from the back of your closet or grab a new item or two from the list below!

Fall Fashion Trend #2: Suede

Suede is going to be trending in popularity this fall. Suede is actually quite easy to incorporate in small, classic ways that won’t break the bank. It’s as simple as carrying a suede bag, wearing a great pair of suede boots, or adding a suede belt to your outfit.

Fall Fashion Trend #3: Denim

Denim pieces are truly timeless. Some popular ways to wear denim include your go-to jeans, denim skirts, jumpsuits, denim jackets, etc. Personally, I love a good pair of wide-leg denim jeans. These are my favorites!

Fall Fashion Trend #4: Varsity Sweater

The preppy style is on the rise this fall, and one of my favorite pieces for that is a varsity sweater. It is a chic and timeless design. Perfect for throwing on with some trousers to wear to the office or pairing with some denim for a casual fall day.

Fall Fashion Trend #5: Kitten Heels

Classic sling-back kitten heels are so stylish. With a pointed front end to match the thin heel, a low-cut back, and a top that manages to cover the toes, you may fall in love with the shape. You may also adore the fact that these can be worn with casual, professional, or formal ensembles.

Fall Fashion Trend #6: Vest

I’m seeing lots of sweater vests and tanks coming out right now, and this is one of my favorite 2023 fall fashion trends. In fact, I’ve already added a couple to my closet.

This is a nice wear now-and-later piece because they’re short-sleeved or sleeveless, with enough room to layer underneath when the weather cools.

Fall Fashion Trend #7: Sneaker

A good pair of sneakers is a fall staple. As the temperatures start to drop, you might find yourself reaching for your closed-toe shoes. These sneakers are one of my personal favorites. They are vintage-inspired and so comfy!

In case you haven’t noticed, Barbiecore is taking over social media. I don’t think the trend is going away anytime soon due to the new Barbie movie recently released.

Spring Shoe Trends

A pair of shoes is the easiest way to elevate any look. While you don’t need to cover all the fashion trends, owning a couple of stylish and on-trend shoes is the perfect way to update your spring outfits. This year we are seeing metallic, kitten block heels, rattan, sandals, and of course, the staple neutral!

Metallics

Metallic shoes are so versatile, and if you could only choose one, I would go with a gold pair. They’re the perfect shoe when you want a little “extra” for your outfit, and you might be surprised how often you wear them!

Silver is also everywhere now. These silver sandals are fresh and will elevate your spring outfit.

 

Kitten Heels

Kitten heels are having a moment, and talk about chic! Heel heights vary so you can find anything from a flat to a mid-heel. Don’t miss these that I love. They are one of my staples. They are so comfy that I took them with me on my trip to Paris and wore them all day!

Espadrilles/Rafia

Espadrille sandals just scream spring and summer! These Dolce Vita sandals have been my staple, and you can find a look-for-less pair here at Target.

Neutrals

I can’t say enough about the importance of owning several pairs of neutral shoes. Though not a trend, neutral shoes are the style everyone needs in their wardrobes! The trick is to find a shade that compliments your skin tone. This will give you a leg-lengthening look; they’ll go with every outfit!

Fashion Trend – Mid Sleeve Sweaters

I don’t know why I pass up a fashion trend sometimes. I think I tend to gravitate towards more classic looks. When I saw short/mid sleeve sweaters trending, I was like, I don’t get it? Just push up the sleeves on a long sleeve sweater, or wear an actual short sleeve. However, I tried a sweater on the other day that I totally fell in love with! Actually, I’ve been wearing it almost every day! I probably should buy another lol!

Here is why the trend works. For mild temperatures during the cooler months, it’s just a perfect amount of exposed skin. I’m never too hot with a bulky sweater on, and not too cold with fully exposed arms. I officially love this trend and hope it sticks around!

One trend I jumped on right away is pearl accents! I’m all in! These jeans not only are high-waisted & fit perfectly, but they also have the cutest pearl details at the ankle. Whether you wear sneakers, heels, or boots, they are going to have people stopping you to compliment you about them.

The new year is always full of fresh starts, promises, and new fashion trends! Although, sometimes a trend will stay around longer than a year, and that is most certainly the case with  Leopard print. Everybody had a major leopard mood last year, and you can expect it that mood to stay around for 2019.

However, this year not only will the classic black-and-tan colors be hot.  You can expect this wild print will show up in vibrant colors such as red and purple.

Leopard print is a classic print and NOT trendy, although it will be “trending” big again. If you choose a colored fabric for this pattern, that will be a trendy piece.

My Leopard Dress

This fun leopard print dress has flirty ruffles along the bottom and pleated details at the neckline. This dress will easily transition from winter to summer by styling it with different accessories. Here, I have belted it with my go-to Gucci belt to give my waist more definition. Adding the red clutch adds a pop of color and interest to the outfit.

I’m a bit obsessed with the scrunch boot style lately, and these boots are just gorgeous! They pair perfectly with denim as well, and I love the wooden heel detail!

With the start of 2018, you’re wondering what the next big fashion trends are going to be! The trends to invest in that will carry you through the year. I’ve covered 6 of them here. You can feel free to embrace these trends, as they all came straight from the designer runways and are already on the street style girls everywhere!

Lavender

The hottest color for Spring Summer of 2018 will be Lavender. Tom Ford was the first to bring this soft lilac color to the runway and it’s been at the front of street style outfits since!  This pastel color looks beautiful worn with the well-worn denim or black basics you’re used to pairing your blush pinks with.

Belt Bags

Well, the Fanny pack has gotten a new name, and social acceptance. Most likely you have all seen this belt bag expertly styled by celebrities and street style girls! Now we are all wanting to get out hands on a cute little mini bag!

 

Buckle shoes

As I’m sure you know, shoes are a favorite subject of mine! For 2018 look for embellishment of buckles on shoes. Metal and crystal buckles are going to dominate this year, along with ankle strap shoes! Wear these fancy accessories as outfit makers, pairing them with simple silhouettes, letting them be the focus of your outfit.

Utility Jumpsuits

For those of you who love the one and done outfit, you’ll be happy to hear, the utility jumpsuit will be a strong trend this year! You can style this versatile piece with everything from heels to sneakers or oxfords. Let t-shirts peek out by leaving it unbuttoned a bit or wear it alone for a sexy look.

Bold Florals

Florals seem to get a new twist every year and this year the blooms are trending with a 60’s inspiration. Bolder, larger and not so delicate. Look for more print mixing with everything from abstracts to graphics.

Basket and Net Bags

These bags were all the rage last year and I’m happy to say they are not going anywhere in 2018. I love the summery light feeling they give outfits!
