Holiday Party Outfit Inspiration
The holidays are a memorable and fun time for get-togethers, events, and lots of holiday parties! I am always looking for a fun reason to get dressed up and holiday parties are just that! I know planning outfits can be a pain, so I wanted to share some inspiration on what to wear to a holiday party! Whether it be a Friendsgiving, Christmas Party, New Year’s Eve, or a festive night out! My tips are to play with textures, tones of holiday colors, and never underestimate a touch of sparkle!
We all know with the holiday’s come timeless holiday colors! Nothing screams a holiday party more than a red dress! Dress it up with heels and sparkly jewelry or make it more casual with a scarf and tall boots!
You can’t forget the staple red lipstick! This Chanel lipstick is a beautiful red and a staple in my holiday makeup bag!
Sequin & Sparkle Holiday Party Outfits
One of my go-to’s for parties around the New Year is sequins! It is said that the purpose of wearing something sparkly is to celebrate the bright and exciting possibilities the new year might bring!
There are many ways to style sparkles:
- Make them the main item by wearing a sequin dress or romper!
- Pair a sequin tank with jeans.
- Want to incorporate something small into your outfit? Wear glitter/sequin shoes or a sparkly barrette!
Tone down the sequin dress by pairing it with a white sweater or blazer over top.
Neutral Party Outfits
Not into sparkles? Grab a neutral sweater dress and pair it with cozy brown tones. Tall brown boots are a fall/winter staple and you can’t go wrong when pairing them with a cream-colored dress. Take your holiday party outfit up a notch with a gorgeous smokey eye and gold jewelry!
Velvet is a huge trend I am seeing this holiday party season! It is a stylish choice as it has a slightly more sophisticated feel than sequins and can work for everything from work Christmas parties to dinner with friends. The thicker fabric will also help to keep you warm!
Add in some extra sparkle by throwing on shoes with a glitter tough or a fun hair accessory!
