Who else loves to live in sweatpants, slippers, and cozy sweatshirts? Hopefully, I am not the only one.

Although I enjoy getting dressed up, I am all about the comfy and cozy lifestyle, especially during fall. There’s nothing better than sipping on a warm drink while snuggling up on the couch and wearing a comfortable outfit. It’s pure bliss!

Since I am all about cozy, here are some pieces to live in this fall!

The quilted jacket trend is big right now because it’s where comfort and style come together! These jackets are lightweight and a great layering piece. The one I am wearing above is from Topshop. The quilted jacket will be your live-in, all-fall kinda jacket! Just add a sporty sneaker, and you’re ready to go! My Lululemon sherpa bag goes in and out of stock. What is more timeless than a sweater and leggings? It is a staple outfit that I don’t think will ever go out of style! A perfect way to be cozy while still looking put together. I like to wear a sweater with added detail to dress up the outfit a little more. The crossover sweater above is reversible and very flattering. It is from Lululemon and is such a nice quality piece. I am wearing a size 6 here.

Let’s talk about my must-have Lululemon Align black high-waist leggings. They are buttery soft, and made to last. I wear a size 4 in them. Wear them to work out in or your everyday outfits for the winter months.

What comes to mind when you think of suits for women? Corporate jobs, business lunches, the finance world? If so, you are not alone. The pinstripe suit was once traditionally aimed at men; happily, that is no longer the case!

In fact, suits are having a bit of a trending moment—particularly striped suits. From blazers and pants to jackets and shorts, the traditional suit has never had more alternatives.

As with any trend, tracking down the piece or style in question can get a little overwhelming. If you don’t already have an idea of where to look, you might feel a little stumped. Luckily, Spanx– one of my favorite brands, just released a new pinstripe suit! I am in love with it!

The Perfect Blazer

Spanx’s new pinstripe suit is named “The Perfect Blazer,” and it truly earns that name! It is the classic pinstripe blazer reinvented. It is machine washable, designed with a 4-way stretch, sleek and stylish, and you can pair it with the newly released pinstriped pants to create endless outfit looks.

I am wearing an XS in the Perfect Blazer. There is no need to size up to get this chic look; stick to TTS. The pinstripe Slim Pants I’m wearing an S which is my usual size for Spanx pants. I have a 25″ waist.

For a more casual take, style your suit with a plain white hoodie and sneakers that don’t make the look feel so buttoned up. This is one of my favorite ways to layer a blazer in the fall season.

Embrace two of fall’s hottest trends at once by layering a belt bag across your body! One of my new favorites to keep my hands free!

Chic: 

Keep things chic with a beautiful white blouse. Putting white with pinstripes always gives a stunning statement. It is a professional outfit that will make you look amazing at the same time!

Mix and Match: 

Casual Friday? Pair your blazer with jeans and a white tee. It is a great way to elevate your casual look.

Not feeling the blazer? Pair your suit pants with a long sleeve blouse for another professional look. For the Fall/Winter, style them with an oversized sweater. This look is comfortable, feminine, and a bit edgy but still very classic and elegant. Something all the ladies should try when it gets chilly. I love adding a tan knit with these pants, topped with a camel coat.

Simplify Your Accessories:

The cool air is here, and I am loving it! With fall comes the best fall fashion, and there is just something about cozy athleisurewear. Whether chasing kids around or just wanting to stay cozy, athleisurewear is a great way to feel put together. It is the perfect way to mix style with function.

Add some accessories to make your athleisure outfit appear less like you just got done working out and more like an actual street-chic outfit. I love the quilted tote bag trend or the staple belt bag, but you can even add some jewelry as well. I prefer simple gold jewelry with my casual outfits.

Make leggings more streetwear appropriate by pairing them with longer tops or tying a shirt around your waist.

Skip those running shoes and instead choose a casual sneakers. Neutral sneakers are my personal favorite, and I love that retro sneakers are making a reappearance in this year’s fall trends. New Balance, Nike, and Veja are my go-to brands for amazing neutral sneakers.

For a sporty chic look, try a trendy matching set. It makes any outfit instantly elevated. Throw on a puffer vest to add some extra warmth for the chillier days.

A quick athleisurewear style tip: When pairing a top and a bottom, you want to balance the outfit by combining a loose-fitting top with tight bottoms or vice versa. For instance, I would style my tight black leggings with an oversized crewneck. Another example is pairing joggers with a more form-fitting tank or t-shirt.

Unsurprisingly, two of the best-sellers are the striped sweater and ballet flats. Two items that have so many different style combinations and are trending for this fall season! A faux leather jacket is perfect to have on hand when the days get chillier. The cami above is great to throw under a jacket or wear under a sweater when the days get chilly! With the cooler temperatures comes adding back in fall boots to your wardrobe. Whether you are planning on wearing pair you already own or are looking to add to your collection; I have found new styles that are perfect for this fall season! You can’t go wrong with a good pair of boots.

From practical booties that can be paired with every outfit to knee-high boots that go great paired with leggings and a sweater.

Below is my fall boots guide for women in 2022.

 

Fall Fashion Short BootiesBooties are a staple to my fall closet. They are the perfect way to tie together an outfit. Tan boots go with so many different color combinations. A sleek boot with a stiletto heel is ideal for occasions where you want to go for a dressier style. Chelsea boots or boots with slits in the side look amazing paired with skinny jeans to show off your ankles! 

Fall Fashion BootsKnee-high boots are incredibly versatile. Easily dress them up with a blazer for the workplace. You can also pair them with a sweater and jeans for a more casual look. A brown suede boot with a flowy dress is a favorite look of mine.

Wearing black knee-highs with jeans is simple yet chic and elegant, creating the “I just threw this on” look. To keep it all flowing, try opting for skinny jeans, as the baggier the pant, the less shape they will give your figure. To elongate the body, tuck your shirt in at the front, and the slim jean will ensure you’re not lost in the fabric of the oversized shirt.

Fall is one of the best times for workwear. There are many different outfit options, and you are not tied down to only the clothing items that will keep you cool. You can also keep things simple with a capsule wardrobe. Capsule wardrobe pieces are one of my go-to’s because they provide endless outfit options with only a few pieces. These capsule items will help keep you comfy, chic, and looking your best! No need to wear itchy sweaters and boring slacks.

TROUSERS

Trousers are a workwear staple. The wide-leg trousers above are one of my favorite Amazon finds. I’m wearing a size small, with my 25″ waist. They look professional but have a nice and comfortable fit! Solid colors of trousers go with everything and are easy to transition to the weekend by changing the heels for sneakers. Above I have it paired with a neutral collared sweater and the perfect comfortable pumps.

Fall trend alert- tweed jackets! During a season when temperatures shift from morning to afternoon, it’s nice to have an outfit with layering options. This elevated tweed jacket will pair perfectly with pieces for the office. You can get double-duty use out of it by pairing it with destroyed denim and loafers for the weekend.

A blazer is one of the most professional-feeling pieces of clothing in your closet. You can easily dress up a pair of trousers and a tee for an effortless chic look. They’ll never go out of style, and a bonus is that you can make it work for life outside the office, too; swap your work pants for a pair of distressed jeans. A blazer is a piece that you’ll consider a closet essential. I love to invest a bit more in this staple to use throughout the years.

There is no denying the confidence a pair of good booties can give you! These beautiful black booties can go with any workwear outfit. They have support and a low/medium heel height. You will get all the benefits of wearing heels without any pain. The pointed-toe style elongates your legs and looks so chic! I love to style mine with dresses, trousers, or jeans outside the office.

Everything always seems to come back in style, and that is no exception when it comes to sports! Pickleball was popular back in the 80’s, and it has come back around! This is said to be the fastest-growing sport in the U.S. today!

Pickleball is a paddle sport that combines ping pong and tennis into one. The game and rules are fun and always bring a good time! The best part is that anyone can play!

There are only a few necessities when it comes to pickleball, and those include:

I love a long trench coat and how it instantly gives a relaxed vibe to an outfit. Believe me, I have many! However, living in the South, I do not wear longer outer layers much. The look above is a great date night option with the sweetheart neckline of the ribbed short sleeve sweater and clear heels that have been on repeat for several seasons!
