Valentine’s Day Inspiration

Valentine’s Day is right around the corner. Do you have the question of what to wear on your mind? Don’t worry…I’ve got you covered! If you’re headed out for a romantic dinner, you will want to dress to impress your partner. However, if you want to also be on the chic side and not be overly sexy, keep scrolling to see the perfect Valentine’s Day outfit idea and tips for your night out.

Date-Night Styling Tips

  • Pick one body part to be uncovered. However, don’t leave your chest exposed and your legs uncovered by wearing a short dress. The dress I’m wearing here is very short, but the rest of my body is fully covered, so it still looks chic.

Also, note this dress is made shorter by wearing a belt. You can style it with sneakers and no belt for a very day-friendly look.

  • Choose a shiny, sparkly piece to look sexy in. Pair it with a tailored pair of pants and heels for a date-night look! However, you do not have to bare much skin at all to shine and catch their eye, especially with a semi-sheer, sequin top, or a one-shoulder blouse.
  • Try a little leather to give yourself an edgy look. Start with a sexy, satin slip dress and layer a leather moto jacket over it — the perfect way to contrast dress in my book.
  • Girls have been wearing tight sweaters for years to show off their assets without revealing too much. Wear a tight cashmere sweater in a color that flatters you with leather leggings, add gorgeous heels, and you will not disappoint!
  • Give yourself an effectless sexy vibe for Valentine’s Day with a silk button-up top and a leather mini skirt. Lastly, add some gold hoops and necklaces to give a little sparkle to your look!

This smocked sleeve pullover can easily be dressed up or down for any occasion. I also love these wide-leg pants that are so on-trend for 2022. I’m wearing these camel mules with most of these outfits, and they are so versatile and comfortable.

If you know me, you know I’m a denim jacket lover through and through, and EVEREVE always has the best selection. This Denim jacket has a gathered band along the back, which hugs your waist. It’s a very flattering detail. Once again, I’m wearing wide-leg pants, but this time in a gorgeous army green color perfect for year-round wear.

How edgy and chic is this long, quilted zip jacket? I think this has to be one of my favorite EVEREVE purchases of all time. Also, if you don’t own a pair of P448 sneakers yet, you should definitely order a pair! They come in lots of colors and can be worn in any season. The inside is very padded, and compared to other sneakers; these would be my choice for all-day wear.

PLAID BLAZER + STRAIGHT-LEG DENIM

I love a good blazer, and this one is on point, thanks to the neutral plaid pattern. This would be a perfect transitional piece from winter to spring. I own a designer version in the same print that costs over $500.00. Save the money and buy this one! I’m wearing these straight-leg, light-wash jeans that are some of my faves as well.

GAUZE BUTTON-DOWN + BLACK DENIM

Another white top because can you really have too many for spring and summer? Since it’s a gauze-y material, it’s lightweight and perfect for casual date nights, beach trips, and girls’ night out. I paired it with these black jeans since black denim is a definite staple in any wardrobe.

HOW TO HAVE A SUCCESSFUL 2022

With a new year comes new opportunities and goals, and who doesn’t love a fresh start? I personally want to challenge myself this year to become more successful and intentional. Each year, I create a vision board to envision what I want to accomplish.  When I look back at my previous year’s boards, it is mindblowing to see things come to fruition that I had on my board!  Vision boards are a gamechanger and can be created on paper or put together in a digital form to help you manifest your goals. Keep scrolling to see what I’m doing now for the new year, as well as tips on how to have a successful 2022.

REFLECT ON 2021

First and foremost, reflect on the last year – the good and the bad. Ask yourself what you would like to continue doing and what you want to change. For many of us, 2021 was a very challenging year with lots of twists and turns, so that it may be uncomfortable reminiscing; however, it’s necessary! I encourage you to self-assess and to take time to think about how you would like to grow in 2022.

DO A SELF-REVIEW

Doing self-reflection means taking time to focus on your inward self in order to answer important questions about your life. Self-assessments help you better understand yourself, your strengths, your weaknesses, and your core values. Understanding your purpose and potential will help you become more successful in 2022.

SET INTENTIONS AND REACHABLE GOALS

I don’t know about you, but I’m not a New Year resolution girl. This year, I’m focusing more on intentionality and tangible goals rather than unattainable resolutions. I want the goals I set for myself to be specific and reachable. If you’ve never heard of SMART goals, it’s a great method that’s backed by research to help you reach your goals. It stands for Specific, Measurable, Achievable, Relevant, and Time-Bound – this is what I will be focusing on to make my goals seem less overwhelming!

PUT YOURSELF FIRST

Putting yourself before all else does not mean you’re a selfish person. In fact, it means you’re focusing on your own self-care in order to be better for others. While having a goal-setting mindset is a great mental state to be in, sometimes it’s easy to go overboard. It’s so important to set time for yourself, whatever that looks like. You will feel more motivated to actually work toward the goals you’ve set for yourself! I’m trying to get better at this as well.

CELEBRATE THE SMALL VICTORIES

Maybe you went on a 30-minute walk before or after work… maybe you lost a pound last week… maybe you replaced your go-to dessert after dinner with an apple. The small wins eventually add up to large victories that you’re working so hard to achieve. It’s important to go easy on yourself. Any win is worth celebrating – small wins will always lead to bigger wins and better habits.
