How To Choose The Best Moto Jacket

The chillier weather has finally made its way in, and I’ve been loving a good leather jacket for this time of year. You can see my favorite one here on my Instagram. I’m fully convinced a moto jacket is an essential staple every woman needs because they’re versatile, chic, and easy to style in the fall and winter. You’re guaranteed to wear it for years to come because it’s a classic piece that never goes out of style.

Below I’m sharing 5 tips on how to choose the best moto jacket for you!

1. How Much Should I Pay For A Leather Jacket?
The good news is, you’ve got lots of options! Vegan leathers have come along way. My advice to you? Pay what is personally comfortable for you and within your budget. This is not a one-season purchase. It will be in your wardrobe for years. It’s an investment, and you want to love it. Also, buying second hand is an excellent option to explore these days, too! 2. Picking The Right COLOR

As with most pieces hanging in your wardrobe, if you want to get the most wear out of a leather jacket, it pays to go for a neutral color over trendy colors you’ll only wear for one season. You won’t go wrong with a classic black moto jacket because of its versatility – it will go with basically anything you wear. However, any neutral will be your best option, and I highly suggest picking a color you know you’ll wear for years to come.

3. Faux Vs. Real

Something to keep in mind when choosing the material: light vegan options for warm climates and real leather for cold weather. There’s really no wrong answer, though, and it truly comes down to how much you want to spend. If you want to make this a true investment and go for the real leather, nothing beats that fragrant smell or luxe look and fit.

4. The Fit

Personally, I appreciate the ability to wear a jacket over my shoulders as a layering option. Choose a classic length and try to avoid ones that are too cropped. Also, don’t invest in a piece that’s too tight because it does no good if you’re uncomfortable! If you love an oversized style, go for that!

5. The Style

The more clean and classic a moto jacket is, the more wear you’ll get out of it. I don’t recommend investing in a moto jacket with too many crazy zippers or buckles. If you want a bottom belt like this one, keep it as simple as possible. The simpler it is, the more versatile it is as well.

How to Make Delicious Pumpkin Cinnamon Rolls In 30 Minutes

The holidays are approaching quickly, and HEB is my top pick when it comes to holiday one-stop shopping for meals and trying new recipes! From holiday cooking supplies, decorations, and fresh produce, HEB has you covered. I mean, seriously… they have it all! My new pre-seasoned cast iron skillet is absolutely perfect for making desserts and other foods you and your family can enjoy this holiday season! I’ve been getting creative with my recipes lately and thought I’d make festive cinnamon rolls to satisfy my family’s October pumpkin craving. Let me just say, these exceeded my expectations! Keep scrolling to see how to make these simple and delicious pumpkin cinnamon rolls in 30 minutes!

HOW TO MAKE DELICIOUS PUMPKIN CINNAMON ROLLS IN A CAST IRON SKILLET:

INGREDIENTS:

  • 2 packages Grands crescent rolls
  • 1/2 cup pumpkin puree
  • 1 teaspoon pumpkin pie spice
  • 1/3 cup brown sugar

FROSTING:

  • 3 oz cream cheese
  • 1 1/2 tablespoons butter
  • 2 teaspoons vanilla extract
  • 1 cup powdered sugar
  • 1 tablespoon milk
  • Caramel Sauce
  • Sugared Pecan nuts crushed

INSTRUCTIONS:

  1. Preheat oven to 375°F. Brush olive oil and maple syrup on the bottom of a preseasoned, HEB 10″ cast-iron skillet, set aside.
  2. Unroll crescent dough, giving you 1 long rectangle. Firmly press perforations to seal.
  3. Spread pumpkin evenly over the dough rectangle. Not too thick, or it will not cook properly.  Sprinkle pumpkin pie spice and brown sugar evenly over rectangles.
  4. Starting the smaller end of the rectangle, roll the dough over the pumpkin/brown sugar mixture.
  5. Using a serrated knife, cut the roll into equal slices. Place slices cut side down in the prepared pan.
  6. Bake for 20 to 22 minutes, until turning lightly golden at the edges.
  7. While cinnamon rolls are baking, combine cream cheese, butter, vanilla extract, powdered sugar, and milk. Beat until completely combined.
  8. Once cooked, remove cinnamon rolls from oven and frost.
  9. Drizzle Carmel sauce over and sprinkle nuts, serve and enjoy!

Refreshing Caramel Apple Cider Hot Toddy

Recently, I’ve been getting creative in the kitchen by experimenting with new recipes, and stumbled upon an adult beverage perfect for the holiday season! Caramel apple cider hot toddy anyone? I knew I had to try it. It’s definitely one of the most festive (and most delicious) drinks I’ve ever made!

Thanks to HEB, I knew exactly where to go to find the best supplies without having to run all over town. They also had a beautiful copper cooking stockpot and measuring cups – both perfect for making this tasty drink. I’m totally convinced I’ll be drinking this a little too much throughout the holiday season because it’s just that tasty. Keep scrolling to see the easy steps in making this refreshing caramel apple cider hot toddy!

HOW TO MAKE REFRESHING CARAMEL APPLE CIDER HOT TODDY:

INGREDIENTS:

  • 24 oz HEB Apple Cider
  • 10-15 Whole Cloves
  • 10-15 Whole Allspice
  • 3 cinnamon sticks
  • 5-6 apple slices

2 oz of Bourbon or Whiskey per serving

Cup Garnish

  • 2 tsp Caramel Sauce
  • 2 Apple slices
  • 1 Cinnamon Stick
  • Orange peel
  • editable flower

INSTRUCTIONS:

  1. In a stock pan, combine apple cider, apple slices, cloves, all-spice, and cinnamon sticks. Heat until just about boiling. Let simmer for 10-15 minutes.

  2. Drizzle the caramel sauce into a large mug.

  3. Pour Whisky into the mug and add in the strained hot apple cider.

  4. Garnish with an apple slice and a cinnamon stick wrapped in orange peel and flower.
